Hussey was engaged to replace the building and the high voltage switchgear that it housed due to end of life. Requiring full decommissioning of the existing building and terminals, Hussey were responsible for relocating electrical and dam interface control mechanisms and power supply before commencing works. Additionally, we installed two new 3.3 kV switchgear tiers, HV cables and cable laddering for feeds, and installed new local control stations, emergency stop buttons and weatherproof GPO at various locations. For final completion, we removed the building to laydown yards and waste disposal and repaired walkways and handrails for edge protection after removal.

Outcome. Hussey was praised for the quality of our work, including the HV terminations. Completed building and switchgear terminations. Relocation of existing electrical, dam interface control mechanisms and power supply.
