At Hussey, we prioritise local spending, regional employment and Indigenous participation, across all of our projects. On average, 85% of our project expenditure remains within local communities, supporting jobs, businesses and long-term regional growth. We partner with local suppliers wherever possible, work closely with community stakeholders and provide meaningful employment opportunities. From our bases in Weipa and Cairns, we’ve seen firsthand the positive impact that strong local engagement delivers, economically, socially and culturally.
